Press-releasesHigh-tech equipment will provide for water quality control at water utility system in Tver02.10.09 LLC Tver Vodokanal, a member company of ROSVODOKANAL Group - the largest private operator of water supply and discharge in Russia, has launched state-of-the-art high tech equipment for analyzing drinking water which is supplied to the city.
As a result of reconstruction and modernization of water systems under Tver Vodokanal’s investment program for 2008-2015, a few years from now Tver is going to get a reliable water supply system which would provide enough high quality drinking water to the city. Supplying the city with high quality drinking water is one of the vodokanal’s key targets, so the company acquired state-of-the-art analytical equipment this year.
The quality control of drinking water is one of the key strategies of the gorvodokanal (city water company). In 2003, a laboratory for drinking water quality control was established in the company, and in 2004 it was successfully accredited. The water supplied to the city today is being analyzed by 34 microbiological, chemical, organoleptic, and radiological indicators. In 2009, for most efficient drinking water quality control the laboratory was fit out with special equipment which ensured high precision in a wide range of water quality tests. High tech state-of-the-art laboratory equipment from the leading companies of Japan, Switzerland, USA and Russia the total worth of which is around 500 thousand roubles will guarantee precise monitoring the quality of water in the distribution network.
