Being the largest private operator of water utilities in Russia, ROSVODOKANAL acts as co-organizer of the International Forum Chistaya Voda (Clean water) to be held in Moscow, November 24-25, 2009, on the initiative of Yedinaya Rossia Party.

The Speaker of Gosduma Boris Gryzlov took floor at the international conference Chistaya Voda on January 20 this year and had the initiative of holding the international Water forum in Moscow. He remarked, that even though the problem of supplying the population of the earth with fresh water was included in the coming economic forum in Davos “this issue is worth specific attention. According to B.Gryzlov, “the world’s demand for fresh water is growing and we have to formulate the offer”.

The main issues of the coming Forum will be: achieving international leadership in utilizing, saving and managing water resources through innovative development of water utilities system; obtaining funding for upgrading and developing water sector during the economic crisis, modernization and construction of the industrial infrastructure for water utilities sector using state of the art world technologies; joint utilization and development of water resources in Russia, opportunities for exporting fresh water to the countries with limited water supply; reservation and rehabilitation of water resources in Russia so as to provide proper ecological living standards of the population, water ecosystems’ safety and reservation.
