Environmental policies

The Rosvodokanal Group takes full responsibility for environmental protection. The activities of the group's members are managed in accordance with the environmental and social standards of International Financial Corporation (IFC), an international organization which is a specialized UN agency.

The company has made the commitment to meet the high environmental requirements of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. A plan of environmental measures has been developed jointly with experts of this leading European financial institution and is being implemented. The main objectives in this area are to introduce environmentally safe industrial technologies and to use energy-saving equipment.

All members of the Rosvodokanal Group conduct comprehensive environmental and social monitoring and review possible adverse environmental impact in order to mitigate likely risks. The Company allocates necessary resources on a continuous basis to meet both both the environmental requirements of the Russian Federation for discharge of pollutants with wastewater and the standards of IFC and of the European Union. The Company is always open to comments and complaints from its customers.

You can review below the high opinion of Rosvodokanal's activities delivered by the European Bank Reconstruction and International Financial Corporation following visits to the group's members, review of environmental and social documentation and technical audit of the activities of the Group's members, conducted by the international consultancy Mott MacDonald(UK).
