Reforming the WSU

Tyumen Vodokanal

Operated under Rosvodokanal's management, Tyumen Vodokanal is responsible for the water supply and wastewater disposal in the town of Tyumen.

Tyumen's water supply is engineered using a complex of waterworks comprising three groups of headworks, water ducts and pressure distribution network: Metelevsky, Golovnoy and Velizhansky water-intakes.

Water is delivered to the town using two water ducts, the water ducts to the town measuring 35.0 km in length. To date, the length of the town's pressure distribution networks is 777.6 km, of sewerage networks 529.5 km.

The centralized system of wastewater disposal in the town of Tyumen was set up in 1965, to comprise gravity-flowing and pumped sewers, as well as 45 sewage delivery pumping stations.

The company's experts have produced a list of measures to modernise, upgrade and overhaul WSU facilities in 2007-2011, worth 4.5 bln roubles
