Orenburg Vodokanal

Operated under Rosvodokanal's management, Orenburg Vodokanal has been responsible for water supply and wastewater disposal in the town of Orenburg since October 2003.

The sources of water supply for the town of Orenburg are reservoirs of underground water of the river Ural.

Water supply for the town of Orenburg is engineered using three main water-intakes: Novo-Sakmarsky, Ural underflow water-intake, and an open water-intake on the Ural river. The average value of the supplied water volume is up to 175 thou. m3/day.

The length of water mains of Orenburg Vodokanal is 839 km; of sewers, about 740 km.

The Investment Programme of Orenburg Vodokanal, developed based on the Programme for comprehensive development of water supply and wastewater disposal systems of municipal entity «the Town of Orenburg» for 2007-2011, is aimed at developing and upgrading the water supply and wastewater disposal system of the Town of Orenburg municipal entity, as well as at implementing the federal programme called «Housing». The total amount of the Programme's funding from all sources is 1.6 bln roubles.
