Kaluga Region Vodokanal

Operated under Rosvodokanal's management, Kaluga Region Vodokanal is responsible for providing services of water supply and wastewater disposal in certain municipal entities of Kaluga Region and the town of Kaluga.

Water supply in and around Kaluga is engineered using underground and surface sources. The surface water-intakes account for about 50% of the total supply. The surface sources with water purification facilities are used to draw water from the rivers Oka and Ugra, and the Lompad reservoir.

The total design capacity of sewage treatment facilities is 221.5 thousand m3/day.

The company operates a total of 48 drinking-water pipelines and one industrial-water pipeline in the town of Kaluga. The total length of the water mains is 1442.8 km. The total length of sewers is 765.9 km.

An Investment Programme is being implemented, worth 1.8 bln roubles.
