Reforming the WSU
Investment Programme of Tyumen Vodokanal

 

The group's experts have produced a list of measures to refurbish, modernise, and overhaul WSU facilities in the town of Tyumen in 2007-2011, worth 4.5 bln roubles.

The investment programme provides for the following priorities of WSU system development:

·         Re-confirmation of current, determination and confirmation of extra underground-water reserves at TKZ [territorial reserves committee] taking into consideration the long-term development of the town – the search for, and confirmation of, promising sources of water supply for the town.

·         Refurbishment of water-intake and water purification facilities of the Metelyovsky and Velizhansky units – the reduction of wear and tear of capital assets, improvement of the performance of their operation;

·         Investigation of natural water, identification of methods for its purification, pilot testing of new technologies with a view to improving the performance of water purification to meet the requirements of the SanPiN sanitary rules and regulations.

·         Review of the current situation and development of process flow solutions for treating flush water, with PSD [design and estimate documentation] generated.

·         Construction of an accumulating vessel at the Velizhansky water-intake.

·         Refurbishment of water-supply pipeline networks with a high degree of wear and tear, engineering of new water-supply pipeline networks – increasing of throughput capacity, reduction of water losses.

·         Introduction of house-specific water metering.

·         Retrofitting of chemical-engineering and bacteriological laboratories – the implementation of quality control for the water supplied to the consumer and wastewater treatment in accordance with the regulatory requirements.

·         Refurbishment of Phase I KOS [sewage treatment facilities], design and construction of Phase 3 KOS - reduction of wear and tear of capital assets, improvement of the performance of their operation;

·         Completion of construction of the wastewater post-treatment and disinfection block – reduction of environmental impact on the reservoir.

·         Refurbishment of sewage networks with a high degree of wear and tear – the increasing of throughput capacity.

·         Engineering of new sewage networks - support for the long-term development of the town.
