Investment Programme of Krasnodar Vodokanal

The total value of the investment project to refurbish, extend and construct new water-supply and sewerage facilities in the town of Krasnodar, developed by experts of Rosvodokanal Group, is RUR3.2 bln.

The programme provides for:

·         Development of a layout of water and sewage networks in accordance with the urban development plan of the town of Krasnodar.

·         Refurbishment of existing, and engineering of new, water-supply and wastewater-disposal networks in the town of Krasnodar.

·         Refurbishment of waterworks and pumping stations.

·         Overhaul and refurbishment of water-supply and sewerage booster stations, as well as of sewage treatment facilities.

·         Renewal of the fleet of motor-and-tractor vehicles and special-purpose machinery.

·         Refurbishment of chlorination systems for the purpose of reducing possible health hazards for the public

The implementation of the investment programme will make it possible to:

·         reduce water losses from 39 to 25 per cent;

·         reduce the operating costs and expenditures connected with energy consumption, improve the performance of business activities. Whereas at the moment the electric power costs are 36% of the total costs, by 2011 they will be down to 28%;

·         reduce the incidence of accidents and failures at pumping installations;

·         reduce the possible health hazard for the town residents in the event of an accident at chlorine-using facilities
